Dr. Zhivago
In February 2011, Doctor Zhivago - a new musical based on the Nobel Prize winning novel and Academy Award Winning film - opened to rave reviews in Sydney, Australia. The show then moved to Melbourne and Brisbane, where it recently completed a 25 week tour. The show is currently playing in Korea till August 2012, with a London opening scheduled sometime in early 2013. Soon after we hope the show makes it way to Broadway. Doctor Zhivago was created by a multiple award winning creative team, including director Des McAnuff, music by Lucy Simon, Book by Michael Weller and lyrics by Any Powers and Michael Korie. Producers included local Australian impresario John Frost as well as American producers Anita Waxman, Tom Dockton, Ralph Bryan as well as Joe and Dan Corcoran. From Maripat Donovan, the creator and star of Late Nite Catechism and the producer of Tony 'n Tina's Wedding comes a new hilarious interactive comedy, "Ask Mrs. Honey B."
Donovan is the charming and quick witted Mrs. Honey Buczkowski – a self-proclaimed expert on living the good life and all that it encompasses. After a lifelong career as a home economics and health teacher, Mrs. Honey B. has decided to direct her energy into a new career as a "Full Life Level" certified life coach.
To help her demonstrate her patent-pending couples coaching Mrs. B. enlists the help of her regular clients, Angie and Frank Travertino played by the delightful comic duo Denise Fennell and Scott Bielecky of "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding" fame.
Married? Single? If you're in a relationship or would like to be someday, you'll laugh out loud as Mrs. Honey B. and the Travertinos wrestle through a zany coaching session and be rolling in the aisles as Mrs. B. coaches actual couples from the audience. Tony n' tina's Wedding
In 1988, Joe left Wall Street and along with brother Dan, acquired the worldwide rights to produce, license and authorize the exploitation for what is now the second longest running show in off-Broadway history, Tony n' Tina's Wedding. The show is currently in its 24th year, and continues to play in open-ended and limited engagements around the world.
Hands On a Hard Body written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Doug Wright, directed by Neil Pepe and music by the lead singer of Phish, Trey Anastasio. The show is currently running at the LaJolla Playhouse from April 26th- June 12th, with intentions to move the show to Broadway soon thereafter.

n 1999, Joe Corcoran co-founded the online theater media company www.theatermania.com along with Darren Sussman.
Joe served as CEO of TheaterMania until 2001, when he left the company to continue producing. TheaterMania is currently being run by Gretchen Shugart, the companies CEO since 2001, and co-founder/president Darren Sussman. Joe continues to serve as the companies Chairman of the Board.
TheaterMania.com provides theater news, reviews, over 6,000 nationwide listings, marketing services, and streaming media. TheaterMania averages over 1 million unique users each month and over 500,000 registered members. The Gold Club is one audience development program that has played a significant role in building this audience. TheaterMania also offers a full-service ticketing system named www.ovationtix.com to over 900 venues. This past year Theatermania published its first reference book entitled "TheaterMania.com's Guide to Musical Theater Soundtracks." The book is available in bookstores throughout the United States.
Past Theatrical Productions
In 1994 Joe Corcoran, and brother Dan, produced the New York company of Late Nite Catechism (www.latenitecatechism.com). The "one nun sensation" received rave reveiws from the New York critics which allowed the show to run at St. Lukes Theater on West 46th Street for over 5 years. Late Nite Catechism continues to play around the country, currently under the control of Entertainment Events Inc, in touring productions, limited engagements and benefit performances.
Joe has produced numerous other
productions including the original New York Productions of Late Nite Catechism, Café a GoGo, Finnegan's Farewell, Web Dubois at Berkshire Theatre Festival and The Mayors Limo.
Life & Cancer
In December 2008, everything he had known and believed had suddenly shifted, when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. A blog was created (www.joesjourney.com) to give access to those who wanted to contribute to his healing process, which attracted over 30,000 visitors and lots of blessings. Now several years later his health is on track for a full recovery, which can only be described as miraculous. Thus life goes on with a new perspective and appreciation for what lies ahead.
Honors
Joe was a featured participant in a book, written by Business consultant Rob Basso, called "The Everyday Entrepreneur". The book tells of stories from top entrepreneurs around the country including Priceline co-founder Jeff Hoffman.

In 2010, Joe Corcoran was honored by Hofstra University to benefit their "Save our Scholarship" fund. Otherwise known as SOS, the event took place at the John Cranford Adams Playhouse on the Hofstra campus, featuring a stellar group of Broadway singers performing "The Best of Broadway". Songs included such classic shows as Les Miserables', Phantom of the Opera, West Side Story, The Secret Garden and Jesus Christ Superstar, as well as upcoming mega-musicals Doctor Zhivago, An Officer and a Gentleman and Grumpy Old Men.
